StarCatcher
Created during the Big Hadron Games project, 2009
This game was developed with Steve Pugh and Steve Danic as part of an one-week “lightning round” in our Big Hadron Games project. For this game I participated in the design process by directing the thematic look and feel of the game. I was inspired to create silhouette shapes for the game from the 2009 IGF finalist “Night Game”, a side-scrolling puzzler. I was able to create the art assets quickly using special brushes in Photoshop, then import these images into Flash. The game was well received by our testers and audience.
| Role: | • Designed the game with two fellow students, both programmers • Art: Created all game assets in Flash and Photoshop • Animation: Key frame animated movements • Completed the game on time and in one week • Blogged about the game and the development experience |
