WEB DESIGNER (WORDPRESS)

DONNA GERDTS, SIMON FRASER UNIVERSITY

October 2014–Present

Currently working on a new website to host content for Hul’q’umi’num language learning materials and lessons for teacher/student use. Over the next couple months I will be continuously updating the site with extensive lessons, illustrations, quizzes, and new content.

In 2014 I worked with professor Gerdts to design and publish two WordPress websites that then launched April and May. The client required multiple websites to share Coast Salish audio and video language lessons to the local Vancouver Island community of students, teachers, and Elders. I continue to work with professor Gerdts to publish new features, integrate new content, and maintain the sites.

http://sxwiem.hwulmuhwqun.ca – Hul’q’umi’num language stories.

http://snuhwulh.hwulmuhwqun.ca – designed for the Coast Salish canoe pulling community. Features words and lessons that will be accessible to museum visitors in a Canoe exhibit in Duncan, BC.
